Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I'm a drummer. I'm originally from Brazil. i play in a band called Glint.

At 2 years ago, the Meinl brand to me it was something unrecognizable. Under shadowed by the two big american brands (Zildjian and Sabiam) and its german brother (Paiste). I have to believe I'm not the only drummer on this side of the pond who took this much time to find out about them. These cymbals, like Paiste's, are fabricated under the Turkish tradition not the chinese. They are actually hand hammered on that particular country. I own two of their Byzance Traditional Medium crashes, 18' and 20', and the sound that they produce is incredible. Warm, rich, and specially big. With such a powerful presence, these cymbals are great for big stages. They also great definition and brightness for detailed stick work. You will find them by the price from $300 to $600 each depending on size and store type (online/retail).

I think these cymbals are amazing, their sound is so powerful and defined. They have a nice warm long ring.

They are made from the B20 alloy (80% Copper, and 20% Tin) and they are hand-hammered in Turkey.

With the turkish tradition and the german quality, these cymbals are truly amazing. For explosive, full and loud crashes sound.
